Build a PVC Roller Skate Trainer for Kids

Learning to roller skate can be tough for kids, especially when they’re afraid of falling or struggling to balance on wheels for the first time. The FORMUFIT PVC Roller Skate Trainer helps young skaters build confidence and coordination safely—without the bumps and bruises that often come with learning to skate.
This rolling trainer gives children a stable, easy-to-grip support frame they can hold onto while skating on driveways, cul-de-sacs, or roller rinks. It keeps them upright and moving smoothly, allowing them to focus on having fun rather than worrying about falling.
Designed for Young Skaters
The PVC Roller Skate Trainer is built from 1-1/4 in. Furniture Grade PVC pipe and 1-1/4 in. PVC fittings for a strong yet lightweight design. You can even customize the look with color fittings to make the trainer stand out and easier to see on the rink or driveway.
The rolling motion is powered by threaded casters (available at most hardware stores) paired with FORMUFIT Caster Fitting Inserts, which securely connect the casters to the PVC frame for smooth, stable movement.
Adjustable for Growing Kids
This plan was designed for children ages 6 to 8, but it can easily be adjusted for different heights. For shorter kids, reduce the vertical PVC pipes by 4 inches. For older or taller kids, increase those pipe sections by 4 inches to maintain the perfect fit.

Suzanne, you’re a genius!
Can you use the PVC Caster Pipe Cap instead of the caster fitting inserts?
How many seniors contact you about this? I used to skate but now I am 69 and don’t want to risk falling. Thinking of this for a paved path nearby. What do you think?
