To make high-quality, color PVC more accessible and affordable, we created FORMUFIT PipeSleeves — an innovative way to turn standard plumbing-grade PVC pipe into color-matched, furniture-grade-looking pipe at a fraction of the cost.
How They Work
PipeSleeves are thin, colored PVC heat-shrink tubes that slide over plumbing-grade PVC pipe and shrink tightly when heated. Once applied, they provide a smooth, glossy finish that matches FORMUFIT Furniture Grade PVC fittings and hide printed manufacturer markings.
With PipeSleeves, you can:
- Use FORMUFIT color PVC fittings with lower-cost, locally available plumbing-grade pipe.
- Reduce shipping costs — PipeSleeves ship compactly alongside fittings with little added weight or size.
- Build full 10-foot pipe lengths for large projects using standard PVC pipe and sleeve coverings.

Limitations and Best Uses
PipeSleeves are designed for affordability and convenience, but they aren’t a direct replacement for Furniture Grade PVC pipe. Keep these points in mind:
- Durability: Furniture Grade PVC remains stronger and more impact-resistant for long-term or load-bearing applications.
- UV Resistance: PipeSleeves are not UV stabilized, so colors may fade with prolonged outdoor exposure. For outdoor builds, use Furniture Grade PVC pipe.
- Surface Protection: Because PipeSleeves are thin, they’re best used in low-contact projects rather than high-wear items like PVC dog beds.
