How to make a Photography Backdrop Frame

Taking the perfect photo can be a tricky business, and having the perfect backdrop will either add or subtract from the quality of the pictures. The metal frames that support backdrops can be costly and heavy. An easy, affordable solution is to make a backdrop frame using PVC pipe and fittings that you can customize for your own photography needs.

Initially designed to be a green-screen background, the plan for the Photo Backdrop Frame can be customized to be wider or taller based on your photo needs, simply by changing the pipe length.

With an added bottom A-Frame support, this PVC photo backdrop design will easily support canvas and other heavy materials that can be draped or clamped over the frame.

The Photography Backdrop Frame is built from 1-1/4 in. PVC Pipe and 1-1/4 in. PVC Furniture Fittings , and can be built in white, black or any FORMUFIT PVC pipe and fitting colors, or built using our fittings and plumbing-grade 1-1/4 in. PVC pipe.
