FORMUFIT 1-1/4 in. Slip Sling Tee Fittings in White lets you create rotating mechanisms from PVC pipe. This Slip Tee connects a PVC pipe into the socket, while another 1-1/4" PVC pipe is allowed to slip through perpendicularly, creating a hinged apparatus. There are two sockets, one for inserting a static pipe and another pass-through for a moveable pipe segment.

I used these to build a stair rail for my (unfinished) basement stairs. I was wanting to make the rail out of 1-1/4" pvc pipe but did not know exactly how I was going to attach it to the wall. I just happened to stumble up on these Formufit fittings and I am glad I did. I used 2-90 degree elbows for the 2 ends with a piece of pipe 2-1/2 inches long in between the table screw fitting and the 90 degree fitting and attached it to the wall, then every 42 inches I used a tee with the 2-1/2 inch piece of pipe between the tee and the table screw fitting and attached them to the wall. Then I cut (regular off the shelf) pipe and put it between the tees and fit it all together, then took it back apart and glued it. It is very sturdy and clean looking. I am a 68 year old female and I love to find things like this to use in place of buying an expensive 12 ft wood stair rail that first of all I would have had difficulty hauling home and second, it would not have been as easy to attach. I have a bunch more things I will be doing with these Formufit fittings now that I have found them. Thank you for a good usable product.

REally Good Stuff
